Review of Out of the Furnace (2013) by Jack S — 20 Jul 2014
Fantastic!! If you don't enjoy slow paced movies, you will hate it. Anyone who thought this movie was bad doesn't know anything about good film.
(SPOILER - DO NOT READ, UNLESS YOU HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE! ).
It doesn't have a lot of conversation throughout the entirety, but that does it mean bad acting or make this bad. It creates an atmosphere. Struggling brother, Ill father , leaving theoldest Christian Bale's character, Russel, to take care of his younger brother who's getting into trouble with illegal fighting, who wants out, but doesn't know how. The letter that Russell finds from Rodney makes him determined.
Then the deep comparison between the dead bloody deer from hunting and the violent bloody fighting.
All leading up to revenge that's pretty badass, Scott free justice as well regarding the chip that probably believed Harrelson's character deserved, which made sense in my opinion.
The brothers had love for each other and truly cared. I have a twin, so perhaps I understand more about this than the average person in regards to justice for each other and your family.
