Similar heart to the movie Drive. Swap Kavinsky for Pearl jam and Gosling for Bale. Reviews are pretty poor on this one, but I found a ton of comparisons to the Deer Hunter. Not all the parallels were good ones, but in the end, I enjoyed the patience Cooper displayed.
For my money, the ending of Furnace was better than Drive's, but the overall film wasn't paced as well.
