There is no shortage of talent in Scott Cooper's latest film. Christian Bale and Woody Harrelson give outstanding performances. Unfortunately, they have not been given much to work with and the same can be said for all the artists save Cooper's script.
This is strictly good guy vs. bad guy formula with only the depth that the actors bring forward. This is not realism, this is just a lazy and sadly racist script.
