Review of Out of the Furnace (2013) by Brandon S — 13 May 2014
A competent, albeit cynical, crime drama that keeps you engaged just long enough to depress you. The visuals are great, the directing is great, the writing is great, and all the performances are great.
I just wish the story in and of itself was less droll. Also have to give a shout out to Woody Harrelson giving potentially the best performance of his career.
