Review of Out of the Furnace (2013) by Mark S — 30 Sep 2015
At its most interesting in its first act, with supreme eye for detail, electric performances, and having a clear voice with something to say, the film unfortunately slowly unravels as it moves towards its confused climax.
Nevertheless, there is no denying the power of some scenes, or indeed of the performances, despite some people feeling somewhat under-utilized.
