Review of Out of Sight (1998) by Derek C — 05 Nov 2007

Criminally (no pun intended) overlooked, even though it's a fantastic movie, and more than just a crime caper. Jennifer Lopez got lucky, she'll never be this good or likable again. Every performer excels, even the incidental characters.

I usually don't like movie star glamour affecting a movie, but it worked in favor of the leads' chemistry. The bar scene is as good as advertised. A smooth, slight film, but nonetheless perfectly cast, shot, scored, written, acted, and directed.
