Review of Out of Sight (1998) by Dustin A — 14 Mar 2008
I f*ckin' love this flick. An ultra cool and sexy disjointed crime caper story. The entire cast (including cameos) is perfect. This was the first film I saw Jennifer Lopez in and was stunned by her beauty and toughness in the role of Karen Sisco. funnily enough I also remember thinking "Damn! She's got some junk in that trunk! Very progressive! Bring back women with curves!" (Of course this was before the J-Lo booty would become a national obsession.).
Everthing about this movie is dripping with Elmore Leonard style cool. The cast is impeccible and Clooney is perfectly suited for the Steve McQueen style bank robber you root for. Even the soundtrack of 70's soul is bad ass. I can't reccomend it highly enough.
