Review of Out of Sight (1998) by Trish P — 31 Jul 2010
Cracking light thriller that is stylish and sexy, without being overly vapid and trashy. Clooney is great, and it's not difficult to see why he quickly became one of the biggest movie stars of the past 10 years.
Lopez is a surprise - she acquits herself quite well, although it's not exactly an astonishing performance, it's a good one. The cinematography is beautiful, Coates' distinctive editing gives the film a unique flavour and, as a pleasant surprise, Michael Keaton pops up, reprising his role as Ray Nicolette.
I haven't really enjoyed any of the other Leonard films however, so this is really the best of the lot in my opinion.
