Review of Out of Sight (1998) by Mike M — 06 Jul 2011
Technically excellent and sexy thriller featuring an expansive ensemble cast spotlighting an excellent George Clooney in the role that solidified his star status. The script evens out the light humor with the shocking violence and the story is smart thanks to novel scribe Elmore Leonard.
The film's only problem is that it lacks the thrills that the genre moniker implies and the best scenes (the sexual tension building between Clooney and Lopez) are few and far between.
