Post-Tarantino Soderbergh('Sex, Lies, & Videotape') is in fine form, crafting a stylish, romantic cat & mouse tale that would literally set the industry standard for a decade of stylish like-minded capers to follow, including his own peerless 'Ocean's Eleven' remake, perhaps the most important entry in the invigorated [aformentioned] film genre thus far.
