Review of Out of Africa (1985) by Travis T — 03 Jun 2008

I've decided I don't really like movies like this. It was just too dang boring. I was so bored. I did not like the story and it was far too long. The only good part of the movie was Karen being invited to the men's club for a drink.

I also do not understand why everyone praises the score. I found it way too over-dramatic. The best piece was during their plane flight. The rest was over the top and ridiculously dramatic.

Lame story, lame long, lame boredom. Just not my type of movie. Pollack was a great director though. I can't imagine ever watching this again.
