Review of Out of Africa (1985) by Craig K — 27 Dec 2008
I did not see this when it first came out, but rather I saw it a few weeks ago. Perhaps it was the hype, perhaps this film is just dated now, but it did absolutely nothing for me. Streep and Redford have zero onscreen chemistry together which makes this entire story just pointless and painfully boring.
I've seen more sexual tension at Safeway than this film. Snore factor five. Made by the Executive producers of "Boring" and "More Zzzz's for Everyone." If you like painful torture watch this epic lameness with extra mild weak sauce.
