Review of Out of Africa (1985) by Tanya D — 14 Mar 2009

Wow! Just finished watching this and absolutely loved it! It's many years since I read the book so can't really comment on authenticity, but my husband read it more recently and thought it stayed fairly true.

This movie didn't seem to drag at all for me. I often find older movies to be rather slow going, but was really impressed by the movement of the storyline in this. It's a beautiful, romantic, and dramatic movie, and further improved with a gorgeous soundtrack.

Played beautifully by all the actors and actresses. And of course, it just makes me want to go back to Africa all the sooner!!
