Review of Out of Africa (1985) by Kerby H — 13 Mar 2012
A beautiful story of love and loss in colonial Africa. Streep is as brilliant as ever as Karen Blixen, though the chemistry between her and Redford never really matches what she and Eastwood managed. Still, the director, Sydney Pollack, deserves a lot of credit for the photography, cinematography, the big African skies and the bigger plains.
I'm just puzzled as to why it took me 25 years to watch it..
