A gentle, romantic and beautiful love story. Redford is the epitome of a tender and manly man. How could Streep resist him? Speaking of which, how can Redford resist her? This is an adult love story that is written with a sophisticated touch and the film addresses many themes.
It's gorgeously shot and Barry's score is majestic. Pollack struck gold with this Oscar winner.
