I just re-watched this and it only got better. 1986 winner of 7 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Director and Score.... I believe the awards were very much deserved. The score beautifully matched the picturesque cinematography.
...which was another of it's wins. This is a story based on the real writings of the main character played by Meryl Streep, a woman who builds a farm in Kenya, Africa and all she goes through during her time there.
I thought it was very moving and I was not bored at all throughout the 2 hours and 41 minutes of the movie. I enjoyed it immensely. On "My 5 Star Dramas" list. DVD.
