Review of Out of Africa (1985) by Adrian B — 29 Dec 2011
One of the best movies of my life. It transported me into another world with the type of romance that is rarely seen or widely understood. The romance is not only between the main characters from the British Colony but also with the wildlife of Africa and its people.
The music was phenomenal - it reflected affection, rise, nostalgia, pain - all in one so well that I kept listening to it over and over again. Some people complained about the length of the movie. I thought it was perfect, I almost did not want it to end even when it did.
Certainly not everyone will understand the depth of it.
