Review of Our Kind of Traitor (2016) by Allan C — 28 May 2016
Not bad. Not really all that memorable either. For a "spy thriller" there is not much spying and not much to thrill either. In the end there just isn't a gripping story here, or somehow it was told in a way that simply failed to grip me.
There are certainly some interesting scenes. I think some more debate scenes by the British intelligence on the pros and cons of helping and such would have helped. A bit like Eye in the Sky, the moral, political, and strategical decisions would have been fun to debate, but (for the most part) we never see them.
