Review of Our Idiot Brother (2011) by Christopher M — 02 Sep 2012
Paul Rudd is really good at what he does, I mean really really good. He's probably the most likable guy in Hollywood. He's Jimmy Stewart. And in this lovely movie, he channels his inner Dude to play a hippie, childlike, big hearted boob of a brother.
His sisters all love him, however he can sometimes be a negative force in their lives. At least that's how they see it. Don't want to give away too much, but let's just say, we should all have a brother like Ned.
Banks, Mortimer, and my beloved Zooey Deschanel are all in top form as the sisterly trio. Rashida Jones, T.J. Bell and Adam Scott all have wonderful turns in supporting roles. Great ensemble surrounding Rudd, who knocks it out of the park.
Loved this movie.
