Ok it was a schmaltzy choice but a good choice if in need of something cheerful (eg sick and housebound it is the perfect no-brainer story). Ned (played admirably by Paul Rudd) has a trusting optimism that was a joy to watch.
Makes you wish there were more people like that in the world.
