This movie was a disappointment from the start, because so much more was expected of the excellent cast. Characterized as a comedy, there were in fact a few funny segments, unfortunately, very few. Sandra Bullock does well as a depressed political advisor, but that doesn't help in a comedic vehicle like this.
The gist of the movie is the competitive nature of Bullock and Thornton's characters, along with the political ramifications of the election they are working on, and little else. Not terrible, but not much of a comedy either.
Expected much more.
