It is a pleasant surprise after the previous ouija movies. Although the plot is rather predictable, I do find the movie excels at the "horror in the peripheral vision" approach, where the horrifying scenes really happen in the background outside the focus of camera.
I think Lulu Wilson really did a great job making the character "Doris" a perfect vehicle for the horror and arguably the centerpiece of this movie.
