I never saw the first one but I have to say this was effective. I thought at first it was giving us a flash back into the beginning and something in the current time but I liked how they did it back in the late 60s.
During the entire hippy stage and the start of the board. I have been a fan of the director and he does well in the horror genre. The timing on some scares got me really well and I hope to see more of the series.
Well, at least until it starts to go stale.
