Review of Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016) by Olivier B — 16 Jan 2017
Last year we had Keanu Reeves's epic pizza speech in Eli Roth's Knock Knock. This year, we have Lulu Wilson, a 11 year old newcomer who defines strangulation in such a cold way it'll freeze your blood.
And for Flanagan, who directed other gems like Oculus and Hush, is on a roll here with his third big movie. He knows that the first one is bad, but he connects his movie with the other in spectacular fashion and unpretentiousness.
He creates great characters with drama and a near perfect tension. And Henry Thomas, who played the main role in E.T., is perfect.
