I was definitely a little biased going into this movie, I guess I'll start with that. As most people know, Ouija was one of the biggest (in my opinion) horror movie monstrosities of all time. So I generally didn't have a great feeling about this movie walking into it.

But, and after much thought, I can safely say that this is one of the scariest and greatest overall horror sequels ever made. Yup, you heard it, and I'm as surprised as you are. I mean, where do I start? Good lord, is this movie scary.

It's also a total blast. But it's got some supremely creepy imagery that will freak you out no matter how old you are. There is so much attention to detail, so much effort to make this seem as real as possible.

The 1960's in this movie actually look like the 1960's, from the old Universal logo at the beginning to the costumes and set design. There are also great characters, with near perfect casting, especially from the girl playing "Doris" who was just so unsettling.

The amazing lack of jump-scares also was very impressive. No annoying sound effects, just a sustaining amount of silence which really added well to the atmosphere. Yet, in the end, Ouija 2 satisfyingly wraps up what was a very poor ending from its predecessor.

I don't know what to say. Absolutely go see this if you have a chance, just as a stand alone movie. Oculus director Mike Flannigan knocked it out of the park and delivered to us once again!
