Review of Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016) by Jeffrey S — 01 Nov 2016

It's intense early and sets up an interesting premise with appealing characters but as it moves along it goes off the rails, becoming less believable and relying on jump scares instead of the creepy mood it establishes in its first act.

The acting, given the material, is admirable. Not a bad movie, but one in desperate need of a third act re-write and a more clear resolution and definitive direction.
