Review of Otis (2008) by Tom S — 18 Jun 2008
Okay, first this is a straight to video horror flick. Second, the only reason I rented it was because of the trailer on every movie I rented recently. My expectations were low. But the casting made this an outrageous comedy that was fun to watch. You'll recognize many of the actors from television shows as well as Daniel Stern and Kevin Pollack to round out the cast. The sarcasm is hiliarious and works to keep the movie flowing and light. When the comedy isn't there the script and direction gets dicey.
In this day and age of special effects, it is good to see a 70's slasher type movie again. This time instead of laughing at the cast of the movie (aka Kevin Bacon in Friday the 13th) we get to laugh along with them.
