Review of Osmosis Jones (2001) by Manny C — 12 Aug 2009
Can a movie be family friendly and gross at the same time? It's an interesting query posed by the Farrellys in this 2001 feature, starring Bill Murray in a role that recalls guilty pleasures like Caddyshack and Meatballs.
The animation is clever, the voice work top notch (featuring Chris Rock and David Hyde Pierce) but in the end Osmosis Jones is middling, there's no real kick to it. Still, given much of the cutesy swill the Farrellys have churned our since then (Fever Pitch) I can handle this.
