Review of Osmosis Jones (2001) by Michael H — 09 May 2012
Have you ever wanted a body cop comedy in a human body with 2D and 3D animation. NO NO ONE DID! But Bob And Peter Farrelly make a unsanitary animated buddy cop comedy with David Hyde Pierce and Chris Rock in the animated proportions of Osmosis Jones. The Live action proportions feature Bill Murray ane Elena Franklin. Murray plays a unhealthy dad who is starting to get a virus. Strangly enough his daughter acts like his mom. Meanwhile, have you ever imagined your body was a city with your name on it? WELL WE HAVE IT HERE! Chris Rock plays a white blood cell. Isn't that a bit confusing? He works to stop a virus with a cold pill named Drix. The virus (Laurence Fishbourne) plans to heat up the whole entire body killing Frank. The movies message is to eat healthy and doesn't shove it down the kids throats. The animation sequences seem a bit too violent as some scenes have white blood cells being splattered. Although this film is some fun its live action scenes are full of nothing but boredom. Could you believe this got a TV show? Im not kidding. I remember it being on Teletoon when it was like 2003 or something. Osmosis is unsanitary but worthwhile.
72/100 B-.
