I really can't say enough about this film; it's still my favorite all time movie after seven years. I don't say it's the best made, or even the greatest story. But it's my favorite, and it says so much to me it would be silly to try and explain it.
Cate Blanchett makes her screen debut in this gem, and it hits all the right notes. And speaking of music, the score by Thomas Newman (Shawshank, Green Mile) doesn't hurt. Simply beautiful.
