Review of Osama (2004) by Michael K — 31 Dec 2007
A 12 year old girl has to pretend to be a boy to get work and bring some income in to her fatherless family. I'm perhaps doing this a disservice by not rambling on about it, but I much preferred At Five In The Afternoon which had more cinematic quality to it for me.
This is good but it didn't draw me in as much and felt a little more manipulative with its message and subject matter. However, for another insight into the Taliban regime and how it is perceived by some, it was very good.
