Solid film. I think only the over-critical will see this as anything other than that. Sure, Orphan has a lot of the same ingredients you'll find in cheesy horror flicks, but those same ingredients are normally found in many of the good horror films, so it really isn't a big deal.
What's most important is that Isabelle Fuhrman delivers as Esther. The rest of the cast is solid as well, so only the picky will really find problems with this movie.
