Review of Orlando (1992) by Daniel C — 06 Dec 2008
With a minor role played by Quentin Crisp and the sexual ambiguity of the protagonist Orlando, this is literally a gender-bending film about a man who doesn't age at all and who suddenly becomes a woman.
Orlando soon understands the sides of both men and women and is irritated by the close-minded and naive perspectives of a couple of men in a party about women. This is a pleasant film experience with an interesting setting, gorgeous outfits and a poetic way of storytelling.
