Review of Orgazmo (1998) by Erik G — 10 Jun 2008
An extremely funny pre-"South Park" outing for Trey Parker, which spoofs both the overtly conservative nature of Mormonism as well as the porn industry. Despite the title and premise, the film's NC-17 rating is completely unwarranted, considering that it's relatively tame compared to raunchy R-rated movies like "There's Something About Mary".
In fact, there's more man-ass in this film than any real female nudity. But the whole superhero shtick is pretty damn funny, and much like his and Matt Stone's future projects, Trey's humor here is deeply steeped in Pythonesque absurdity and irreverence.
Dian Bachar is hilarious as the Robin-like sidekick, who can easily get away with wearing a helmet with a dildo on it.
