Review of Ordinary People (1980) by Nathan V — 23 Oct 2007
The movie begins with a teenage boy waking up in an ordinary suburban home. But right from the beginning we feel tension between him and his family. We find out through the course of the story that they have been touched by a terrible accident.
This movie is a tragedy about tragedy. It explores how individuals react to bad things that happen to them, and how it affects their family and friends. I would recommend this to anyone who's going through a difficult time, has gone through a difficult time, or knows someone who is going through a difficult time.
A movie so touching I truly believe it has the potential to heal wounds and save lives. You might know what I mean by that after you see it.
