Review of Ordinary People (1980) by Chance F — 24 Feb 2010
A very touching film. Donald Sutherland, Mary Tyler Moore, and Timothy Hutton were like cogs in a machine, working together to perfectly portray the grief-stricken family torn asunder by their feelings of guilt and self-loathing and inadequacy.
One of the final scenes between Timothy Hutton and Judd Hirsch was so powerful and heart-wrenching. A well-deserved Supporting Actor Oscar for Timothy Hutton.
