Review of Ordinary People (1980) by Greg C — 22 Mar 2012
When you consider this was Redford's directorial debut and it won for Best Picture, you knew he'd be giving us many more outstanding films. In addition, this was one of Judd Hirsch's first dramatic roles and he proved his broad acting ability. Finally, I have always loved MTM, but it's her dramatic roles I love the most. She always portrays her characters with such conviction.
Great story about a family and their inner struggles to cope with tragic events. Highly recommend this film.
