Review of Ordinary People (1980) by Ryan D — 07 Feb 2010
If you like American Beauty, Catcher in the Rye, or anything depressing, then Ordinary People is right up your alley. It's got a well-written script, great acting, and solid direction that is filled with rich, depressed white people (and in drama, is there any other kind?).
Now, I know I'm being a bit sarcastic with this review and I actually would recommend it as a good drama but the first half was pretty slow. However, it was deserving of the Oscars it received.
