I've definitely got a soft spot for movies about the Irish and Irish culture. Irish crime flicks are even better, so regardless of any shortcomings this movie holds, a movie about a group of bank robbers who live in Dublin and steal a priceless painting is right up my alley.

I will say Kevin Spacey, as good an actor as he is, wasn't the right choice for this role.

He isn't overly convincing and his Irish accent wavers throughout. It would've also been nice if Colin Ferrell's role was fleshed out a little more.

This is a fun movie though. Well shot and told. An interesting story (which apparently is true), and you know, the Irish thing.

It does have its faults and I wouldn't say it has a spot at the top of my lists for the best Irish flicks, or crime flicks, or both for that matter, but a damn fine film nonetheless.
