C. T. Dreyer used to say that he wanted to produce a movie about Jesus Christ. According to me Ordet is this kind of movie. Ordet is a masterpiece for the way the subject of the movie is developed, and also for the way Dreyer uses his camera and the lights.
Some picture of this movie are just like Rembrant's paintings.
