Review of Ordet (1955) by Matt S — 11 Apr 2010
A film that has touched my heart Ordet is one of my favorite film of all time (even then one of the greatest) this film is both beautifully written and beautiful looking, it's acting is both outstanding and believable making the film much more intense for the viewer, some can be put off by this film for it only has talking as it's main event but if you listen to it until the very end you will be stunned and amazed by what see, not only is the ending heartbreaking but it is probably the best ending ever, the film also makes a point about what is true faith to the religion of Jesus Christ which will make you think a lot both while watching the film and after watching it.
Ordet is one of the only films that got everything right in every way the story, the acting and the point about true faith, Ordet will keep you coming back to watch it again and again and again.
