Review of Oranges: Revenge of the Eggplant (2004) by Tim S — 08 Jun 2013
Red Letter Media's Oranges: Revenge of the Eggplants is a textbook example of a fledgling film company coming together to make something special. While I can't say that it's all apples and, well, oranges, I can say with some certainty that enjoyed it.
I wasn't expecting a big lavish and slick-looking production. I was expecting an amateur film with some class and ingenuity, and this film certainly has both. It's a mediocre effort, and does tend to drag from time to time, but you can't deny how charming and simple it is.
If you're a fan of Red Letter Media or you're thinking about getting into filmmaking, I highly recommend checking this one out. I especially recommend it if you're looking to get into stop-motion or animated filmmaking.
