This is a very underrated film. The critics chided this film for missing opportunities to properly satirize its upper class and academic settings. The contradiction here is that this film does not share their elitist view of the upper class or of academia.

And - secretly - the film does satirize these things... just not in the ham-fisted way the critics seem to want. Enjoy this movie for what it is, or just watch something else.
