Review of Orange County (2002) by Matt N — 21 Dec 2009

This is a really entertaining film, mixing comedy with some genuinely believable drama. Colin Hank is a rarely thought of, underused actor who I consider to be the element of this movie than helps keep me interested, the surname itself is enough for some to ignore.

The story is fun and interesting, becoming as close to a real life scenario as most films do. The characters in this movie have all their own unique qualities, non other than Jack Black, who I never realized as being a part of this until a re watch. Whilst Jack has his comedy moments it is a typical performance and considering I watched this after his most recent movies I found it a tad repetitive and un-original.
