Review of Orange County (2002) by Dan B — 05 Jul 2012
Over privileged kid gets what he wants, is not the most enticing emotional journey ever. And without the self-awareness of, say, Clueless, the hero's self involvement removes that of the viewer (or at least this one.
) There are some good moments (all with either Black, O'Hara or Lithgow in), but not enough to end your internal debate about Hollywood and nepotism. Mike White has written a few interesting and / or successful movies.
This isn't one of them.
