Review of Oppenheimer (2023) by Zneversleep — 29 Jul 2023
Amazing.
I was unsure if Nolan could get me again because my experience with Dunkurk and Tenet - his most recent movies - was not great. Fortunately, Oppenheimer is much more than I expected. Even being an unknown genre to Nolan, the way heAmazing.

Even being an unknown genre to Nolan, the way he conducts it is outstanding. Watching almost all of his films makes the experience even better because you can notice all of Nolan`s signatures. So, 3h of movie. Is it tiring somehow?
No. I got hooked on every single minute of it. Not only 'cause I was super interested in the subject. The dialog is really good, and if you like political matters, this is a field day for you. Along it, you have memorable performances from all cast, a magistral OST - that sounds amazing on cinema - and crazy photography with practical effects. Sounds scary 'cause it really is.
All that combined with a script that plays with time to create tension and man... you got one of the bests movies of the year. What a time to be alive. Also, I cannot forget to mention how masterfully Nolan can use silence as an instrument of terror. if you watch it, you know exactly what I am talking about.
