Review of Operation: Endgame (2010) by Kevin R — 06 Aug 2011
You shot me right in the shaft.
Two secret government organizations, named Omega and Alpha, operate out of the same building and are lead by an individual known as The Devil. One inauspicious day, the Devil is murdered and the two teams are locked in the building. It quickly becomes apparent that the only way the teams can escape the building is if they kill each other off.
"I hope you die of testicular cancer you fucking mongoloid.".
Fouad Mikati delivers Operation: End Game in his directorial debut. The storyline for this picture is fairly straightforward and nothing special overall; however, the script is marvelous and there is a fantastic blend of comedic content. The acting is nothing special, but Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine) delivers an outstanding performance. The cast also includes Ellen Barkin, Maggie Q, Joe Anderson, Zach Galifianakis, Jeffrey Tambor, and Ving Rhames.
"I'm nine and a half, uncut.".
Operation: End Game was a movie I came across while looking for Maggie Q films to DVR. I didn't expect much from this picture and was pleasantly surprised by the comedic content. The movie starts with a lot of promise and contains several great action scenes; however, the end was disappointing and typical for the genre. Overall, this is an above average action genre picture but does not fulfill its full potential.
"I drink as much as I do because every day is Christmas.".
Grade: C+.
