Review of Operation: Endgame (2010) by Trent R — 28 Jul 2010
Great cast for a comedy, which this is not. It's also terrible as an action film, with only Barkin and of course Maggie Q delivering competent choreography with some degree of comic edge. Galifianakis and Corddry do manage to get in a few riffs, but squeeze more into the end credits than you get in the running time altogether.
This could have been a timely political satire, but there is nothing clever in the plot and also no room allowed for improvisation. Overscripted and produced, predictable film that squanders what potential it had.
