The reason that I found this to be a good movie is from an historial perspective. The US Army wanted allies in SE Asia and they were willing to almost ANYTHING to get them - including dropping an elephant into a village.
I think this movie might have killed Ray Liotta's career, but still great movie! And the music rocks!!
