Review of Open Season (2006) by Elisa L — 07 Oct 2008
This debut offering from Sony Pictures Animation has a giddy energy about it and a gleeful sense of its own weirdness and goofy anarchy. This is a routine animated animals flick, but there are enough zany moments to keep things interesting like the whacky things you can do with rabbits.
Open Season is an odd-couple comedy with humor that is sharp and witty and, at times, mischievously dark. Its no classic but its not a disaster, its a funny, high energy, fun time, and theres nothing wrong with that.
